Neil Kendall
Known as an award-winning photographer, Neil Kendall is known internationally for his editorials of celebrities such as Dita Von Teese and winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, Violet Chachki. In 2018 Kendall was crowned National Vintage Photographer of the Year and Number One Burlesque Figure in the World.
Neil’s portraits showcase his love of old Hollywood and each set made is like a small scale production, often collaborating with local artists and painters to give life to his vision.
For the last 20 years Neil Kendall has shot genuine vintage portraits by using traditional hot lights that were taught to him in his early twenties by Harrison Marks, British pin-up Photographer. The sets are created by using vintage materials and dressings, using minimal photoshop. Many models and personalities from the pin-up, burlesque, and vintage community travel to his studio which is a complete and simply stunning 1950’s house.
